Recent killings of unarmed Black people in the United States have sparked a global protest movement and added voice to the violence the Black community continues to face in their struggle against racism and inequality.

Our indifference or acquiescence to such forms of violence elsewhere in turn fuels the indignation and violence we continue to face as Black people in the world.

The question then is: what should you, as leaders in Africa today, do to change course?
